Peachy Sunday

30 Jul

Happy Sunday Friends!

Lately, I have been trying to take the time on Sundays to really spend time with family and relax a bit. In college, Sundays were dreaded days where I spent the time kicking myself for not starting my assignments earlier. Sundays were never relaxing! Today, however, was a Sunday well spent: with family. After completing Tone It Up’s HIIT the beach workout (I know, predictable but I love it!) This afternoon my mom, sister, and I drove two hours to meet my Grandma, Aunt, and Uncle for lunch. It was so great to see them one more time before heading off to grad school!

My relaxed Sunday continued at home where I spent time outside while my dad grilled dinner. I used this time to start planning my half marathon training.

planning the next 12 weeks of my life.

On my computer, I pulled up Hal Higdon’s Novice 2 1/2 Marathon Training Guide. I’ve had numerous people tell me they have used his programs to train so I decided to try it out! The schedule looks manageable and leaves room for flexibility. I like that if I need to, I can switch some runs to adjust to my schedule. I wrote down the schedule in my agenda so that I will see it every single day (No excuses to miss a run!) Training starts this week, with my first run starting Tuesday!

Sunday Satisfaction Indeed!

After dinner, I suggested to my family that we try grilling peaches! So many people have told me they are to die for, so of course I had to see what all the hoopla was about! It was so easy to make. All we did was cut the peaches in half, and brush them with a little bit of canola oil. We placed them on the grill for about 4 minutes. When we took them off the grill they looked like this..

Juicy deliciousness!

I paired my peach with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream. The pairing was godly.

It was devoured in seconds.

Hope you all had a wonderful relaxing Sunday!

xoxo,

Anjali
