5 mile marker

21 Jul

Hello there loves!

Last night, I went out to dinner for sushi with my sister, Kiran, and my friend, Alyssa. We ventured to Pacific East restaurant at Cleveland’s Eton Collection. This was our first time trying this sushi restaurant. We were surprised at how small it was, however, the food was great! We shared this ginormous platter of sushi.

Sushi sushi sushi!

The pieces were HUGE! I almost wish that they were cut smaller so it would be easier to eat. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely give it a try in the future!

After dinner, we headed over to Paladar, a restaurant that specializes in rum! Of course I had to test out a rum drink, so I ordered their mango mojito. I love mint in drinks so mojitos are one of my favorite drinks! The mango mojito was a little too sweet without a mango flavor for my liking, however the mint complemented the drink nicely. I did however, enjoy the company of my sister and Alyssa! Sometimes you just need some girl time over a few mojitos 🙂

Today

This morning, Kiran woke me up bright and early at 7 a.m with an upbeat “It’s time to go for our run!” I ignored her request and rolled over (feeling the drowsy affects of 3 drinks the night prior). Then, my dad came in to my room and said “Why don’t you get up and run with your sister?” At the second request, I felt guilty so I rolled out of bed. After gulping down water, a small cup of coffee with a piece of whole grain toast with peanut butter, I felt better and ready for our run.

The weather along with my favorite scenery made for a great run. We ended up going five miles! This is the longest distance I’ve gone in a very very very long time. I am so happy my sister gave me that extra push I needed to get out of bed and complete a great workout!  I was supposed to go to the West Side Market with my dad, but our plans were squelched when we realized how much work needed to be done before I move. The rest of the day has been devoted to getting ready to move into my new place in Cincinnati!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
